It is a real privilege to welcome you to St Weonards Academy, a small, friendly and ambitious school where every child is known, valued and encouraged to thrive.
At St Weonards, we are incredibly proud of the warm and nurturing environment we provide. Being a small school allows us to know our children as individuals – their personalities, interests, strengths and the areas in which they may need additional support or encouragement. We believe that children achieve their best when they feel happy, safe and confident, and this is at the heart of everything we do.
We have high expectations for all our pupils and want them to develop a genuine love of learning. Through an engaging and ambitious curriculum, alongside a wide range of experiences and opportunities, we encourage our children to be curious, resilient and enthusiastic learners who are proud of what they achieve.
Our school community is incredibly important to us. We value the relationships we have with our parents, carers and the wider community and believe that working together gives our children the very best possible experience. Our dedicated staff team work incredibly hard to ensure that every child receives the care, support and challenge they need to flourish.
As part of the Herefordshire Marches Federation of Academies (HMFA), our pupils also benefit from being part of a wider family of schools. This provides opportunities to learn, compete, perform and work alongside children from across the federation, while St Weonards retains the close-knit, family feel that makes our school so special.
Above all, we want our children to enjoy coming to school, to feel a strong sense of belonging and to leave us with happy memories, confidence in themselves and the knowledge and skills they need for the next stage of their journey.
I hope our website gives you a flavour of life at St Weonards, but the best way to experience our school is to see it for yourself. We warmly welcome prospective families and visitors to come and meet our wonderful children and staff and discover what makes St Weonards such a special place.
