Arctic Exploration!

This week in Science, Seahorse Class have been learning about how polar bears survive in the Arctic. We conducted an experiment where the children first put their bare hands in ice cold water and then with a plastic glove on. We then added another glove and another. We discovered that the more gloves we wore, the warmer the water became. The children were then able to see that polar bears stay warm due to having a thick layer of fat and fur.
