A new coat for Paddington

In Science, Seahorse Class have been using their knowledge about the properties of materials in order to create a new coat for Paddington Bear. The children were given a range of materials and they had to decide which material or collection of materials would work best and why. The children decided the coat needed to be soft, waterproof, warm and flexible. We then tested our coat suitability by showering Paddington using a watering can to see if he remained dry or became wet.
