World Book Day 2023

Last Thursday, the children enjoyed dressing up as either their favourite character from a book or poem for World Book Day. Throughout the day, the children engaged in a range of activities linking to poems and stories. The children in pre-school made gingerbread for the whole school….they were delicious!

Save Our Rainforests

In Geography, KS2 children have been learning about rainforests around the world. We have been learning about deforestation and the impact this has, not only on the rainforests but the whole world. The children then produced posters to inform people, as well as persuade them to help to change their behaviour.

Extinct Animals

In History, Seahorse Class have been learning about extinct animals that once lived in the sea. We learnt about megalodons, dunkleosteus, tylosaurus prorigers, frilled sharks and stupendemys. The children then used the iPads to recreate their own illustrations of these animals.

Electricity in KS2

Both Dolphin and Shark Class are learning about Electricity within their Science lessons. This week LKS2 were learning about complete and incomplete circuits and UKS2 were focusing on the symbols used within circuits. Both classes were provided with the opportunity to explore circuits practically.

Competition Win!

The children in Seahorse Class were very excited when they received the news that we had won a new mud kitchen for our outdoor area! We would like to thank Wood U Believe It Ltd for running the competition and for the service they provided us.

Save Our Oceans!

Seahorse Class have been learning all about pollution located within the ocean. In English, the children have created their own persuasive pieces of writing, persuading people to stop polluting our oceans. Well done Seahorses, these are fantastic pieces!

Raglan Farm Park

Roaming Reptiles Surprise Visit

On Tuesday, the children received a surprise visit from Roaming Reptiles as part of our ‘Animal Themed Week’. The children were given the opportunity to learn about and handle a range of reptiles. Everyone was very brave and enjoyed interacting with the different species.
