Last week was British Science Week. The children had the opportunity to explore the theme for this year ‘growth’. Seahorse Class wrote their own acrostic poems, learnt about the life cycle of a frog, designed their own animals that could live on Mars as well as carrying out an investigation to see if there was a link between age and height. Dolphin Class examined the different parts of a plant and their function, created poems based on ‘growth’ and conducted an experiment which explored the concept of genetics. Shark Class made their own cakes and lemonade thinking about irreversible changes as well as taking part in the NFU live lessons based on life cycles.
