Dolphin Reading buddies

    Today, Year 2 children came upstairs to Dolphin Class for Reading Buddies. Year 2 children were paired with a Year 3 child and together they shared a book of their choice. The children enjoyed discussing their texts and sharing predictions.

Clay Sculptures

This week, both Dolphin and Shark class have been busy creating flower sculptures. Before starting, we looked at different techniques we can use to create a range of textures. Here are some of our creations we would like to share with you.      

Printing using natural materials.

We have been learning about India Flint, a textile and printing artist from Australia, who uses natural resources to create prints. We went for a walk around our school grounds collecting leaves and flowers and used these to create our own prints.    

Story Telling and Puppetry

On Monday 29th February all the children had an afternoon of fun with Storytelling and Puppetry with Fiona Angwin. The children very much enjoyed listening and joining in with Fiona. The Stories and Puppets was based on Flying, even some of the children were selected to join in with the stories.

World Book Day – Thursday 3rd March
