Pizza Making Trip

This week Years 1-6 pupils went on a trip to Pizza Express. The children shaped the dough, added toppings and then baked their pizzas. The children learnt about how the dough was made, how long it takes to cook as well as a balanced diet. 

RSPB Big Bird Watch

Seahorse Class have been busy taking part in this year’s RSPB Big Bird Watch. The children enjoyed learning the names of British garden birds and using their maths skills to record how many birds the spotted. Year 1s used tens frames and Year 2 were introduced to tally charts. 

No Pens Day

Tree Planting

Seahorse Class have been enjoying spending time outdoors planting a range of saplings that were kindly donated to us by The Woodland Trust. We discussed how tress are crucial for our survival and how they help the planet. Well done Seahorse Class! 

Creating pan flutes

In Science, Year 3 and 4 are currently learning all about ‘Sound’. The children have been busy this week creating pan flutes to investigate pitch. The children were investigating how the different lengths of the tubes impacted upon the pitch.

Electricity in KS2

Both Dolphin and Shark Class are learning about Electricity within their Science lessons. This week LKS2 were learning about complete and incomplete circuits and UKS2 were focusing on the symbols used within circuits. Both classes were provided with the opportunity to explore circuits practically.
