Extinct Animals

In History, Seahorse Class have been learning about extinct animals that once lived in the sea. We learnt about megalodons, dunkleosteus, tylosaurus prorigers, frilled sharks and stupendemys. The children then used the iPads to recreate their own illustrations of these animals.
Electricity in KS2

Both Dolphin and Shark Class are learning about Electricity within their Science lessons. This week LKS2 were learning about complete and incomplete circuits and UKS2 were focusing on the symbols used within circuits. Both classes were provided with the opportunity to explore circuits practically.

Competition Win!

Save Our Oceans!

Seahorse Class have been learning all about pollution located within the ocean. In English, the children have created their own persuasive pieces of writing, persuading people to stop polluting our oceans. Well done Seahorses, these are fantastic pieces!
Rest in Peace, Your Majesty

The HMFA family is deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the Royal Family as we join them in mourning our remarkable monarch, who led us with unparalleled grace, compassion and humility throughout her lifetime of devoted service. Roaming Reptiles Surprise Visit

On Tuesday, the children received a surprise visit from Roaming Reptiles as part of our ‘Animal Themed Week’. The children were given the opportunity to learn about and handle a range of reptiles. Everyone was very brave and enjoyed interacting with the different species.

Today in RE KS2 pupils looked at how artists and poets had depicted Moksha, Nirvana, Paradise, heaven or hell. We thought about how we could express our own beliefs through art.
