Our setting offers to provide a safe, happy and friendly environment with experienced staff. Stimulating learning experiences are created through exploring and play, motivating your children to learn. Developing linguistically, intellectually, physically and socially from play based activities, whilst working towards early learning goals. Shining Stars provides affordable, high quality care where we respect the parents/carers role in a child’s development. We work in partnership with parents during their child’s time with us.
We are able to accept pupils from age 2 to 4 years old.

Starting nursery is a significant milestone for any child and their family. Our aim in Shining Stars is to help children to settle in and form positive relationships with others building a stable foundation for learning in a safe and supportive environment. Through interaction with adults and children they will develop a wealth of early learning skills, which will later enable a smooth and confident transition to primary school. Â
We also hope to build secure relationships with parents and carers through daily interaction at drop off and pick up, the use of our online learning journal and invitations to spend time with us during key events across the year. Â
We have very strong links with St Weonards Academy, the children make full use of the school building, share a classroom with the Reception children and engage in regular activities such as themed days with the wider school. Â
Children develop by being active and creative in their learning. At the setting we believe that every child is unique and our aim is to cater for every child’s individual needs and learning.
At Shining Stars Pre-School we provide an environment in which all children are supported to reach their full potential. Every child is given individualised next steps which are reviewed regularly. Activities are planned to cater for the different ages and stages of children and staff are adept at supporting, as well as challenging, children to achieve their best.Â
We work closely with an experienced Special Educational Needs team within the federation as well as alongside other professionals such as Speech and Language Therapists and Occupational Therapists to ensure every child receives the support they require. Â
